Dear Fellow Information Systems Educator,
Welcome to the Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP), Special Interest Group for Education, or EDSIG.
EDSIG is the single organization that devotes itself specifically to IS education, for it is our mission to provide IS educators with the latest research in educational techniques, processes, and technology.
EDSIG promotes understanding of the mutuality of business and education within the information systems industry.
EDSIG encourages productive dialog between industry and academia regarding information systems education.
EDSIG seeks to encourage acceptance and continuing development of the model curricula created by AITP and its Foundation for Information Technology Education.
EDSIG annually holds the Information Systems Educators Conference (ISECON) during which time the EDSIG Educator of the Year award is presented.
The purposes of EDSIG are to:
- Disseminate and/or receive information about Computer Information System education.
- Enhance communications between industry and education.
- Promote the further development and implementation of the IS 2002 Model Curriculum and Guidelines for Undergraduate Degree Programs in Information Systems.
